Previous to the Triathlon Sprint of Linz 2012

Hello!

Is already here, the first triathlon of the season. Amazing that even with 25 years I follow feeling that tickling sensation in the gut days before a race, I guess that will be something normal in all athletes.

The preparation for this first triathlon has been much more complete than I made the last year for the triathlons. Thanks to a good season planning I think I have achieved at least the number-one goal that was to go tunning my body to the sport by creating a base of resistance but without forgetting something so necessary in the triathlons sprint and Olympic like the speed. I has been a year since I started in this magnificent world of triathlon, learning more each day from thousand different sources, I am a devourer of magazines, articles in webpages and most of all I love to receive tips from people with experience as Natxo, his blog is a source of motivation and inspiration at the same time, I recommend to all of you!

The amount of km in the three disciplines are much more that I had coped the races of the last summer. Surely I lack quality in some training and be a little more consistent when it comes to carry out the planned targets, but to sum up I am very happy. I enjoy what I do and I have a balance in my personal life.

As to the characteristics of the triathlon is worth noting that nothing in the lake of "Pleschingersee" to the north-east of Linz. Spectacular as all triathlons the massive outflow of all the participants, 900 between the sprint distance and the half Ironman. Tomorrow will be a sunny day, so if you come to see the proof (9:30 AM) will be able to view and animate on the sides of the lake to the triathletes.

In regard to the biking part, it is in the direction of  Mauthausen. I've biked on this road a few days, is full of ups and downs, but i like it. If there is not too much wind it can be a good sector of bike to my understand.

And finally the last 5 kilometers, where I have to puss as much as I can. I run through the path that almost had runned daily and where I burned a lot of rubber from my shoes since I came to Linz. It will be of great help all the visual references that I have in that area to know where to push harder.

Many thanks for the encouragement received by those who are here now and those who are not, those who have been and are not longer! To all you that have been and are a part of who I am, and with your love and patience all of this is much more enjoyable.

Greetings and see you tomorrow!

Ander
